What We Do

Our Process

Through the years, we’ve developed a 6-step process that we follow rigorously when building your website. We bring brands to life through relevant and innovative web design, powered by experience and data.

01

Research

We collect information and set goals for the project. We analyze the market: your customers and your competitors, we look at Google Analytics, we have conversations with you. There are no shortcuts.

Then we take your ideas and your content and start creating.

02

Copy

We collect information and set goals for the project. We analyze the market: your customers and your competitors, we look at Google Analytics, we have conversations with you. There are no shortcuts.

Then we take your ideas and your content and start creating.

03

Design

We start with a design inspiration provided by you, or we develop an internal mood board where to gather visual references that reflect the look and feel we are aiming for.

We discuss it with you to see if the direction we’ve chosen fits the brand. We then design mockups.

04

Development

We develop your website on WordPress. WordPress is very popular, easy to use, and highly customizable. It suits most websites, that’s why it’s used by over 40% of the websites on the internet.

For more complex projects, we can build custom systems.

05

Quality

During the testing process, we use various tools to make sure that everything from the site speed to the user experience is perfect.

We make sure that every element is functional. Wee check the website’s usability, making sure its design and solutions make it easy to use.

06

Finalize

We run through our internal checklist and meticulously and precisely check every detail, function, and system on the website.

We then migrate your new site to your server and finalize the DNS settings, or if you decide to host with us, we will set up your new server.

Research

From your idea to implementation –
through discovery and brainstorming.

First, we find out as much as we can about you and your business. How it all started, the path you went through, your aspirations and what brought you to us. What you want to achieve with your new website.

Then, we formulate a concept — which will be our Northern star both visually and verbally for our next steps.

We collect information and set goals for the project. We analyze the market: your customers and your competitors, we look at Google Analytics, we have conversations with you. There are no shortcuts.

Then we take your ideas and your content and start creating.

Copy

Words can entice. Words can repulse. We thrive on copy writing.

Words are the pillar of web design. Our designers and copywriters work together to find the best way of delivering your information, both through visuals and words.

Once the wireframes are ready, we write down technical requirements for the website.

A proper website starts with proper copy. On the web, the text is an integral part of the design. For corporate, business websites, landing pages, etc., written content is in most cases the skeleton of a website, so we start with the copy.

The semantics are closely connected to the visuals that go with them. The length of the headers, the structure of the text and the layout go hand in hand. Then our copywriters and our designers work together to create and polish the text. Wireframing fuses together the draft of the text and the skeleton of the design. With wireframes, we see what the content will look like to the end user and how it is perceived. Here we ensure that we’ve covered everything and that all the information is discoverable.

When we start filling your website with text, you see it right where it belongs: in the mockups of the website.

If you choose to provide your own content, it is useful to have this finalized as early on in the project as possible so that we can produce our design specifically to fit around it.

Yes, we do internal SEO optimization, which is a joint effort of our marketing team, copywriters and developers. This part has an effect on the copy and includes several steps: keyword research and writing the copy in accordance with that, writing title tags, meta-descriptions, image tags, etc. We promise Google will find you.

Design

Finally, the website visuals.

At this stage, we design every element and detail of the website: the style, the fonts, the movement. We add photography, video, illustration, and 3D, and we make sure everything looks great on every device.

Our first step is to define the visual concept.

We start with a mood board, where we gather visual references that reflect the look and feel we are aiming for. We discuss it with you to see if the direction we’ve chosen fits the brand. Then we create a concept design for a few key sections. We take a chunk of the website — usually the homepage — as a playground, on which we develop the style. Once you are happy with the concept, we make the rest of the website.

We use a variety of visual instruments that may help us spotlight your product, team, or brand: typography, 3D, motion graphics, photography, illustration, explainers, and even technical drawings. Once you confirm that you are happy with the design, we pass the project on to our dev team.

We listen to your feedback and iterate on it to achieve the best results. Eventually, it becomes our reference for the rest of the website. Once we have the concept ready and approved by you, we move on and design the rest of your website. The last step is to create adaptive designs that show how the website will work on any screen size — mobile, tablets, and desktops.

For each page we create graphic content: illustrations, imagery, we select and retouch photo materials.

Finally, we deliver designs for the whole website and every screen size. Once this is done, you have a complete understanding of how your website will look and function. The designs are created in Figma (our favorite collaborative design platform) and accompanied by specifications and comments for developers.

In some cases, you may have already designed your website using an in-house designer or outside agency. This won’t be an issue. We can still consult you on the design to ensure it aligns with your brands message if necessary. Otherwise, we can begin development!

Development

From idea to reality. This is the rubber meets the road.

We have a killer set of front and back-end skills at hand. Our knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP, Javsscript, animations, and visual effects allows us to implement the most daring ideas into lightweight and stunning websites that work on any device. Our websites are fast-loading, flexible, and easy to manage.

We will develop your website on WordPress. WordPress is the CMS (Content Management System) of our choice. It is very popular, easy to use, and highly customizable. It suits most websites, that’s why it’s used by over 40% of the websites on the internet.

For more complex projects, we can build custom systems using PHP, and custom layouts using HTML and CSS.

We use WordPress for most websites, so you can easily edit your website by yourself. All you need to do is log into your admin panel and add content or make edits there.

We also provide content maintenance services or can provide you with training materials after your new website has been built on how to make edits and changes by yourself.

We work with WooCommerce on WordPress. WooCommerce is arguably one of the best e-commerce solutions available and will give us the flexibility to create a truly customized experience for your customers.

Membership and subscription websites are a great way for your business to earn predictable and sometimes passive revenue. We can build your custom membership and subscription website and help elevate your business to the next level with advanced automated systems, membership management solutions, and much more.

During the testing process, we use Google’s PageSpeed Insights, GTMetrix, and other tools to make sure that everything from the site speed to the user experience is perfect.

We make sure that every element is functional – search, forms, inputs, subscriptions, filters. We check both the front and back end.

We check the website’s usability, making sure its design and solutions make it easy to use.

We check its compatibility with all known browsers and platforms. We check responsive views on different devices and resolutions.

We run various optimization reports including HTML & CSS validation check, page load speed, and site performance.

We check the on-page SEO for titles, descriptions, image alt text, and the presence of header tags (h1, h2, h3, etc).
